A Humanistic Approach
I have a particular interest and specialist training in helping those who have experienced trauma, childhood adversities and anxiety. As a relational therapist, I can help you to explore and connect with your emotions and I believe in the potential for growth, healing, and self-acceptance that exists within each of us.
Drawing from Gestalt therapy and Somatic practices, I help you tune into the "here-and-now", your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours. By becoming more aware of these aspects of yourself, you can gain new insights into old patterns and internal conflicts. This awareness can help you release what no longer serves you and create space to live more fully in the present.
I've also had the privilege of working in the charity sector, where I’ve supported individuals navigating complex trauma C-PTSD, whether it’s childhood adversity (ACE’s), domestic or sexual abuse, or chronic pain. I bring an intersectional, neuro-affirming approach to therapy, recognising that your unique life experiences have shaped how you see and experience yourself. Being trauma-informed is essential to my work, and I am deeply committed to building a safe, trusting relationship with you, where you will feel seen and heard with empathy and compassion.
Together, we can help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and authentic.
