I’ve always been deeply interested in how trauma, especially childhood trauma and C-PTSD, can shape our emotional well-being and even manifest in the body as chronic pain. This curiosity led me to pursue studies in Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling at Brighton University.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I bring over 16 years of experience as an advanced Myofascial Release therapist, specialising in chronic pain and trauma. I’ve seen firsthand how the body holds onto past experiences, often leaving us feeling stuck in ‘fight/flight’ mode or dissociated. My approach focuses on releasing tension in the fascia to alleviate chronic pain, while also helping to process and release unresolved emotions or memories that we may be holding unconsciously.
With lived experience of neurodiversity and Special Educational Needs (SEND), I understand the emotional and relational challenges that come with these experiences, along with the barriers to receiving support. In both my roles as a counsellor and a Myofascial Release therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working in relationship with individuals who identify as neurodiverse, including those with ADHD, Autism, or AuDHD.
